Privacy Policy

BuyOilDirect is an informational catalog and reference site operated by an Authorized AMSOIL Dealer (#1642716). The site does not run a checkout, does not host user accounts, and does not store payment information. This page explains the limited data the site does collect, how cookies and analytics work, our affiliate relationship with AMSOIL, and the choices you have as a visitor.

Who we are

BuyOilDirect is published as a set of static web pages. We use this site to help shoppers research AMSOIL synthetic motor oil, filters, transmission fluid, gear lube, grease, additives, and related products. When you are ready to order, the site links out to the official AMSOIL store, which is where every purchase, account, payment, and shipment is handled.

This privacy policy covers buyoildirect.com only. It does not cover the AMSOIL store, the AMSOIL Preferred Customer program, the AMSOIL Dealer program, or any other site you reach through an outbound link.

Information we collect

The site itself does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or submit personal information to browse, read guides, or compare products. The only data the site receives in the normal course of a visit is the information your browser automatically sends to any website you visit, which our hosting provider records in standard server logs. That typically includes your IP address, the page you requested, the time of the request, the referring page, and your browser and operating system.

If you choose to contact us through a third-party form or email link in the future, the information you provide goes directly to that third-party service or to the email inbox listed. Do not send sensitive personal, financial, or health information through any form on this site.

Cookies and analytics

BuyOilDirect uses a small number of first-party cookies and similar storage only where they are needed to remember basic preferences, such as whether a navigation menu is open. The site does not set advertising cookies and does not sell or share personal information for cross-site advertising.

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and which need improvement. Any analytics tool we add reports aggregated traffic patterns, such as page views and referring sites, and is not used to identify individual visitors. Your browser settings, including a Do Not Track signal and any cookie controls, are honored where the tool supports them.

AMSOIL affiliate disclosure

BuyOilDirect is an independent Authorized AMSOIL Dealer (#1642716). Outbound links from this site to the AMSOIL store identify BuyOilDirect to AMSOIL when an order is placed, which is how the site is funded. This identifier does not change your price, your AMSOIL Preferred Customer pricing, your shipping options, or any AMSOIL warranty or return policy. All purchases, payments, accounts, and order data are handled by AMSOIL INC., not by BuyOilDirect.

Third-party sites

Every link to the AMSOIL store, an AMSOIL document host, or any other external website takes you to a service operated by someone else. Those services have their own privacy policies, terms, and data practices. Review the privacy policy on the destination site before you create an account, sign in, place an order, or submit any personal information.

Children's privacy

BuyOilDirect is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through a form or email on this site, contact us and we will delete that information.

Your choices

You can browse this site without providing personal information. You can also use your browser to block or clear cookies, send a Do Not Track signal, or use private browsing. Most modern browsers include detailed cookie and tracking controls in their settings, and they apply to BuyOilDirect like any other site.

For AMSOIL account data, including Preferred Customer membership information, marketing email preferences, and order history, contact AMSOIL Customer Service at 1-800-777-7094 or customerservice@amsoil.com. Those records are held by AMSOIL INC., not by BuyOilDirect.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site collects or uses data changes in a meaningful way, we will update the policy on this page and update the date shown at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
